amount of calories burned in given activity calculator

This calculator is more for fun than anything, but it’s still a nice way to guess amount of energy needed for a specific type of exercise or activity. It is great for those who don’t use smart watches or other heart rate monitoring devices.

(Beware, this numbers can drastically change from person to person. We are all different, we have slightly different metabolic processes. Some people may burn more calories doing the exact same activity than others even if they are of similar size, height and build.)

ideal body weight calculator

Here you will see quite big range from the bottom to top of your ideal weight. It is because calculator alone cannot know what your body composition is! One person with similar size and height may weight very different than the other one. Remember, muscles weight more than fat. But, there’ are also other factors that vary, such as: amount of water, bone density, last food consumption…

your current bmi calculator

Body mass index (BMI) is a person’s weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters. BMI is an easy screening method for weight category—underweight, healthy weight, overweight, and obesity. It does not, though, diagnose the body fatness or health of an individual. To determine if BMI is a health risk, a healthcare provider performs further assessments. Such assessments include skinfold thickness measurements, evaluations of diet, physical activity, and family history, blood work, etc.

BMI is not very accurate in highly active athletes as they usually have more muscle mass, which as we know weights more than fat. It is a great tool for beginners or leisurely active individuals.
